All-weather protection is the first thing you notice when you open the box. You pick the bag up and immediately feel that the things inside have a better chance of staying dry and safe in bad weather than you do. It only took a few walks in heavy rain to accept that fact. The Cordura 1000D fabric not only handles rain and snow with ease, but is also tough enough to survive years of rough urban use.
This is already a compelling argument for moving forward with GUD in life. But there’s more: a breathable 3D mesh back panel for comfort on hot days, a main strap made from seatbelt-grade webbing, a reinforced bottom with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, enduring buckles and hardware, thoughtfully designed attachment points, and a reflective strip on the front to keep you visible in the dark.
Being visible in the dark is about safety. Being visible during the day is about style. The bag will fit perfectly into anyone's lifestyle, as it not only has a restrained appearance, but also a Velcro panel for patches and plenty of external pockets.
Customize it not just with patches, but with your everyday gear: a thermos, an umbrella, a tripod. Along with practicality, you get a distinct look.
In my case, it was two years in a clean, minimal setup, and then more than half a year with a GUD “No Leaning” patch on the Velcro. Later, after getting a dog, extra gear appeared, clipped to the outside for quick access. In both scenarios, the bag looked just right — but once all functional elements start working for you, it gains an entirely new meaning.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Road 2.0 crossbody bag comes with an additional stabilizing strap for secure movement on a motorcycle, bicycle, or any alternative to your own two feet.
